booya. ): sigh you know the strike thingys 3 posts ago? aiyo it's so often now I can't even be bothered to put in there anymore. anyway, I was just reading bridge to terabithia. I get this feeling I read it before, but only once I think so it didn't really register in my memory. and even though it's like such a simple, thin book, it's really very cheem ok! if you reflect, it's so much about all those life troubles that everyone have. and it's so simple and maybe even cliched but I still emoed after reading it! hello! haven't blogged in a long while. yeah well school's started. okayy anyway i've been downloading A LOT A LOT of band songs from soundclick. (erm and I just installed limewire again haha) like 80 songs! ok I shall make comments on some of them.The Planets (series of 7 songs):
I. mars, the bringer of war -> MYSTERIOSO ( rmb mr oura telling us that that's what conductors call songs in which they don't understand what the composer is trying to portray?
II. venus, the bringer of peace -> mysterioso
III. mercury, the winged messenger -> not bad, quite nice
IV. jupiter, the bringer of jollity -> nice starting, but gets a little boring after that
V. saturn, the bringer of old age -> mysterioso and boring
VI. uranus, the magician -> okay lah, though quite boring also (great timpani though)
VII. neptune, the mystic -> first part quite nice, but gets boring also (oh at abt 5mins there's this eerie choir singing)
eh not bad I can memorise all their names and my comments! oh haha this is random but I've split the songs in my iPod into these playlists: emo, joyful, lyrical, majestic, overtures & medleys, peaceful, random, series, SYF & NBC, themes. hahaha.
ok anyway. oh there's this song called ride which is only like abt 3mins, and apparently it has 63 time changes and difficult keys! O.o oh and there's this um randomish cool song called sang where there's a lot of vocals done by the band.
and theres another series, piece of mind, where there's thinking, remembering, feeling and veing, of which I only rmb remembering (err pardon the pun heh) being interesting cos it's like a sad tune, with sudden changes to happy, jazzy tunes as like flashbacks. oh and I have el camino and can't take my eyes off you by tkwo! hahaha.[omg I love blogger! now it autosaves! I accidentally closed the window and I almost killed myself, but my post is still here, exactly the same! ((:]
eh sorry random. anyway, I realise 100% of these i've seen on ppl's blogs have extremely high for cyclothymia. O.o I bet jess's would be like "off the scale" or something. hahaha!ok back to songs. oh I think commonwealth military band seriously has to watch timing and tuning. I mean, listen to their pirates! '_____'
ok october has got to be the SADDEST, most EMO song ever! and the oboe solo is like heartbreaking. I don't know why. but even joni says it's emo lor! oh and pearl harbour is quite sad also lah.
ohya which reminds me, I erm borrowed anastasia, beauty and the beast, titanic medley, pirates, phantom, persis, (didn't take backdraft cos it consisted mainly of ONbeats -.-), october, ocean!, postcards from singapore, 2/5 of miss saigon ( I accidentally left 3 pages in the file) from 1st alto and twinkle from 2nd alto to photocopy. ohman so many! haha i shall buy a card, then use the rest to photocopy recent scores and do instrumentation. I WILL I WILL make it perfect alphabetical order! (((:
and the jurassic park part that we always play for sli is super slowww! while the part in titanic medley that goes you know 141516151413 and then again at twice the speed is DAMN fast! is like runup/down/updown. hmm. nvm.
oh and psalm 42 is a nice sweet sad song too. oh and I must agree with sam, excalibur is a super cool perc song. oh and pilatus: mountain of dragons is nice too! emo at some parts, and a lot of solos.
and erm regenesis which is supposed to be abt this city which was defeated and rebuilt again is quite emotionless heh sorry. as in like the destruction and the rebuilding and the rest of the song all feel the same.
while rj la mer is emo and nicenicenice! and like whenever we listen to acsi inn we have to listen to either our or tkwo's inn to cleanse our ears lol! oh and I lovelove star wars birth of the twins and padme's destiny also! but whatever happens, I still think october is the emoest song ever.
oh and digital prisms and symphonic overture have really really catchy melody lines. oh and I realised digital prisms' melody is quite close to that of triumph! I miss triumph boo. it got us our first ever gold! (and at that time there wasn't gwh)
oh his honor is cute hahaha. but it had crazy ranges for me (at that time hmmm. until I saw inn, 2nd page). ohya I love the sax part in twinkle! supersuper nice! oh and rise of the firebird is a really good opening. olympiada too I suppose. it was supposed to have been written for the olympics or something hahaha. oh yes orient express! another nicenice one! oh good luck to clars for auds!
hmm I don't see why sam likes backdraft so much. as in moderately nice but not anything special leh. I prefer persis actually. omg inchon beginning is so nice! oh yes and disney medley has the cool weird funny chord thing that they always play when beginning a disney show... oh and it has it's a small world!
ok now fantillusion ceases to impress me. but it'll always be my first love hahaha! wow I just realised I sound like a total band freakfreakfreak. but I am! (((: and you can give me the band geek/nerd hoodie if you can afford it!

I have 8 ccao stickers, 4 "identification" stickers (rgssb, pearlyn, saxes&lower ww's, batch 09), one masterpiece rgssb paper which I stuck tape over so it's like um sticker anw, one nightmare before xmas bit of tape, one mashimaro sticker, my saying with a snoopy stampsticker in the mug part, and a MOSQUITO PATCH lol. the smileyface one. X) hohoho.
sigh I suppose we'll always have to come to this topic again and again. yes HER you very what leh randomly go stalking our blogs to insult us. -.- I must agree with keyun. sigh stop making us all sad. do you really really think we're having fun? siao. we're all so disappointed. and the use your brain person is noone from rgssb. cos our batch duh knows yall have an oboeist, your directs duh know yall have an oboeist, our directs not so xian as to go blogs and tag stupid tags. (ahem unlike SOMEONE) c'mon just give it up. start anew. nothing happened. make rgssb a journey worth remembering. in a good way. why ruin everyone's life, including your own? tsktsk. hope you understand soon. plspls try.
