Batch Chalet + Inunion '08!

[day 1]
ok I feel kinda bad cos the whole of band I was just looking forward to chalet. D: but that day was quite unproductive. anw skipskipskip. everyone started going off first, like going to the place themselves later, or only coming at night and stuff. oh managed to teach a bit of batch item haha. in band room with us NEARLY tripping over metronomes. :/ (omg I almost spelt it metrognomes. gosh.) ok anw. we got free food! :O friday also haha. it's the icyl (?) leftovers. and it's so singaporean! like west winds concert. I don't care if it's nice, I don't even know what it is, but it's FREE, so take it! -.-"
haha ok anw left for the place, which is super ulu. 403 takes damn long okay! and oops, called my dad when we were walking towards the place and realised he would take another half an hour. so I tried to check in and yay I could! thanks julia for the $50 deposit loan heh. ok went into the place, it was our biggest chalet yet yay! hm two floors, 4 bedrooms, 2 beds each, 3 (and a half?) toilets. but it's a beeet rundown la haha.
anw, started a round of taitee, then we changed to a whole batch game instead so we tried pig. but not fun, so we did heart attack. oh yes and indian poker was damn funny hahahaha. rebecca lucky toot! who happily trusted her laopo and children though. xD and ew the card could stick on me. O.o bad sign bad sign. haha anw all the cards were oily/sweaty after that, had to remind everyone to wipe their cards before putting back. :p
ok then ordered pizza! I think we terrorised the guy. like asking what packages, whether got one-for-one, asking what flavours, what flavour recommendations... haha I bet the guy would have song yi kou qi after we hung up la haha. ok in the end it was two hawaiians, two mushrooms, one singapura, one meat lover's I think. the latter is awesome! haha and since noone owned up to be salivaphobic (except yujia who I think doesn't drink coke anw), we all just drank from the 1.5l bottle heh. and the other one was in the fridge for the duration of the chalet, thirsty just kope haha.
ok I have very bad memory, but I'm pretty sure we did some teaching of batch dance as well. mostly we go together since that is the everyone must do one, and some of summer, first time actually splitting into guys and girls and mass teaching haha. and then OMG we did the really embarrassing mtv thing to boulevard of broken dreams haha. started out with a few people, but ended up with only julia and I trying to act emo haha. OMG DAMN MALUATING. I FORBID YOU TO CIRCULATE. but it was awesomely fun anw haha, we should get together and adlib dances more. xD or or or choreo! which is way more fun. :D [and eh julia we have yet to go studiowu!]
haha anw, went to bathe, had a temperature war with the heater (on both days heh). someone needs to teach me how to use a manual heater. I had to keep switching from low to medium every ten seconds! ok and then roomed with samseah jess julia. haha triplets and auntie! since mummy was conveniently not around. but mummy and auntie 2 (?) and grandpa roomed with us the next night. xD ok this sounds really stupid. ignoreignore. ok basically we were sleeping n really weird positions, all the other rooms people were sleeping in an orderly fashion heh. anw we shifted when sam got up at 6+. and why am I always one of the first to wake up and one of the last to get up heh. (got diff ok! I wake up at sane times, but at home when I've got nothing on that day, I stay in bed and daydream, sometimes until I fall asleep again, and get up like in the afternoon.)
[day 2]
woke up, slacked in front of tv. oh our wonderful talia got us breakfast for two days. (: the walnut muffin was :D and the cinnamon roll was not bad too haha. oh did commander presents (the other two were at pool haha but I was bored so). hm, then I changed and went to play pool also la hhaa. I SUCK! eh gloria is a closet everything I tell you. have you seen her without glasses and with hair down? damn chio! :D haha. and she closet dances damn well, and closet plays pool damn well. I really suck, I can't control the friction heh. oh samlee is like pro of the pros la. sank A LOT. and she did the super act-cool behind back thing, and sank it! :Dhaha ok then went back to change again before cycling, cos I wanted to wear a non-sweaty shirt later. omg the kittens at the bike rental place were damn cute can! and they play-fought, super cute la. and one of then high-fived me twice haha. though I suspect it was simply trying to claw me heh. anw, we rented overnight so we could come back and cycle later at night since we had to leave soon, but we came back quite late and noone was really in the mood and half of us had to chiong notes so it was wasted. D: haha btw, the bike seats sucked. (so far the only rented bikes I've liked were the section chalet '06 ones) they should seriously make bike seats that fit the contours of butts! and the handlebars were really far away, yet the shape is not leanable in a mountainbike sort of way. -.- ohwell.
ok then chionged back to find that the rest weren't back yet heh. washed up a little, changed, then we hurried off to airport to send alicia off. we were damn scared we wouldn't catch her can! plus she didn't have a phone anymore, couldn't contact. so rushed to airport, went to T3, camwhored abit on the trains (both the mrt and the skytrain heh). yay we found alicia! omg then I was suddenly hit with the impact, and a few of us just started emoing then and there. oh then her classmates came and stole her away for awhile heh. anw, it was really emo, esp at the part when we sang you'll be in my heart. I couldn't even choke out the extremely appropriate first line la. I barely managed to sing a quarter of the song. and samlee and xinyi emoed alot too. anw, we miss you alicia, and whereever you are, we still love you! (:anw, we were quite hungry after that, so we ate at the foodcourt there. gloria and I ate hokkien mee haha, which was 4.50. :/ ahya everything was quite ex la (except the doggies! :D). the mee was sopping wet, but not bad la haha. oh I somewhat managed to persuade gloria to not ask them to leave out the stuff. seriously ah, people these days: laksa without hum and prawns, hokkien mee without sotong and prawns. haha yupp then camwhored abit with xinyi. and off we went! um stopping at watsons on the way to get a couple more doggies. :D and also the toilet to nab toilet paper cos the chalet was running out and we didn't know if the office provided/was open. haha ended up only julia took, but not a lot cos according to her the dispenser was going "buggugbuggugbuggug" very loudly hahaha.mhmm we waited damn long for the 403 as usual. but emily bought chestnuts! :D and we were happily trying to peel/pop them nicely. yupp so we got back quite late, didn't cycle. oh and sadly the shops that keyun, julia and I wanted to go see were closed by the time we came back. D: oh and and the office told us no more toilet paper so the few of us who needed to shit were planning to try to get by with the last half-a-roll and the wad which julia stole, but the guy came by not long later with toilet rolls hahaha. yepp anw, we did more batch dance! like rehearse over and over. until like midnight woah. noone slept before midnight that day I think.yeah anw so my sb lured me up by saying some note about checking out at 9am thing, and did a birthday surprise for me! :D it was a version two of the rap thing we did for yujia that time haha. omg so sweet! love! and it's not cheapo at all la please. (: haha my mum was wondering why I had a photoframe that said "baby" with a picture of us in it. xD yupp and I went downstairs and the batch started singing happy birthday. 12am whoo! haha ok not really, about 12.05. but still cool! yupp then went to bathe, had the usual temperature war, was so sluggishly tired that they thought I died in there or smth haha.then we went to the room, jess had already been sleeping for quite a while, samseah also slept before us. then julia, rebecca, talia, gloria all slept on the floor and I felt bad so I joined them haha. it's quite comfy actually, cept there was one blanket between the five of us. and the fan was quite freezing. I bet my toes would have beem frozen off if I hadn't worn socks la haha. oh anw I was quite proud of our aircon usage! we only used when we prac-ed dance and were gonna be hot and sweaty. so our total usage was 27 units, and we didn't have to pay! :D and as mentioned the fans were quite cold anw haha.[day 3; inunion!]woke up at like 8 oops. hurriedly changed and packed and all. yupp so checked out and stuff, started on our way to school. then rebecca's ever-present conscience hit her and she and julia went to be hao xin and buy bread for the whole band in case they got hungry. :O rebecca the rich. haha the dogs were quite amusing on the mrt, I was being totally smothered by one of them and people kept giving weird glances. mhmm anw, reached school, ended up eating some leftover food again haha. oh, jolyn was sick and had to go home. D: anw, we realised games were a bit screwed then, and in the end they got totally cancelled and time got donated to batch item prep and section interaction.yupp batch item prep whee. wanted to do full dress but obviously we didn't haha. we kinda koped the hall for a while, then the sec2s came and used and we were supposed to do formations but we ended up lazing around at the back of the hall. oh and I got hit by nausea argh, so I just lay on the floor. I am happy to say though, that it sorta became better after section interaction. what does that say? (: anw, section interaction was quite amusing heh. AND I AM PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR SECTION HAS FINALLY MANAGED TO TAKE OUR FIRST FULL SUCCESSFUL DAO PHOTO! photos on facebook whee. haha then jess and I ran around giving batch presents and notes. and our section ended up playing random games like charades and dare-or-dare, with quite amusing dares (especially the rebecca one xD) but it got dry after a while. we combined with trombones euphos horns and tried black magic but still nothing much came of it heh.ok skip, to bandprac. wait can skip that too. to actual concert! the recruits were not bad. solos! (: haha. dawn of a new day I had like a few wrong notes argh and I was kinda getting stage syndrome, like playing softer and wavering long notes. :/ I must learn to fight that. and overture was beyond bad. it's probably the worst thing that's ever happened in performance history, mo having to stop us right in the middle of playing and start from a place. D': samseah was crying hysterically in bandroom, and a few of us were crying too. ok we shall not dwell upon it and instead work harder to ensure that doesn't happen again. that's what's always said right.anw, so we dried our tears and washed our faces and put on a smile for batch item. (: sec2s were quite punny haha, and joanne is absolutely adorable! xD angel! sec1s had a skit cum song. the song was a bit draggy heh. I'm quite confident that 2 years later their batch item will have as much of a drastic improvement as ours had from our sec1 one haha. anw, our batch item was crazily fun! I don't know, despite it being uber embarrassing, and it didn't help that seniors were straight ahead and directs (up) were right in front haha. but it was just undescribingly priceless. it was so awesome we wanted to do a self-initiated encore afterwards but didn't for fear of pissing the teachers off heh. batch! we must get together and redance (and perhaps film!) the item again someday okay! I think (hope!) that it was our best item ever haha. we spent so much time prac-ing!ok then met up with our um apples and oranges haha. our directs (up) baked brownies for us! :D they were really awesome omg thankyouuuu! we will um change our cookie tradition soon haha. oh and whoo we took a five-batch section photo! it was so cool, they even had to stand on chairs hahaha. ok then debrief, band cheers :D and commander presents which we forgot to give during section interaction oops. [oh we have yet to take the traditional outside hall photo ah!] and then nearly the whole band sang me happy birthday omg that was so maluating heh but sweet. (: yupp then as usual we were chased away. off to section dinner! oh yay zhenyi and lynn joined us. (:went lido as usual, chased off by grumpy security guard as usual. omg he was damn pms-y can, we were like waiting for the rest to come back, so we told him that, then he was like no cannot, get out now. so we were like we can't carry so many things so we've to wait for them to come back can and he was like I don't care, take it all somehow and go away. like wtf? ahya anw, managed to find and fit at two tables downstairs. we sat by direct sb's haha, interesting.gloria managed to persuade our ano directs (down) to eat. haha I've a feeling the situation seems familiar somehow. :p gloria and I shared a milkshake, yujia got a plum drink, gloria and yujia ate macs, and I had popcorn chicken. we (our table) played the usual games haha, the even batches were talking I think, about I've no idea what. I hereby proclaim that we have a new genius of the section! vivian got fuzzywuzzy like quite fast, and she got bang bang damn fast (yes, the one the brasses took eons and eons to get xD), and their sb got around the world within the first game, and black magic in the paltry few times we played it during interaction. :O peifupeifu. I didn't even get black magic until amanda told me heh. and it's quite funny, when they're thinking, vivian looks bored and celine looks confused, as gloria rightly pointed out.ok then went to the opp fareast busstop with sheryl (YN) to wait for our parents. mine took super long! ok I should have appreciated the moment more, how often dyou think I get to be at orchard at 11pm. :p but as it happened, I was sleepy from the 2am first night and 4am second night, not to mention tired from all the batch dance prep hahaha, and aching from the stupid fat backpack and slingbag and shoebag and paperbag. so well. ok went home, had a 30min powernap, then got up and packed and opened and xin shang-ed presents hahaha.
